Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity and Gender (MDDG)

The interdisciplinary cluster builds on research in the field of fundamental and human rights at the Faculty of Law and is coordinated by the European Training and Research Centre for Human Rights and Democracy at the University of Graz and the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Human Security, which is based at the Faculty of Law. The most important component of the cluster is the interdisciplinary doctoral seminar "Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity and Gender", which is open to doctoral students from all faculties and whose "faculty" consists of postdoctoral researchers from all faculties, and within the framework of which the International Interdisciplinary PhD Workshop in Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity and Gender takes place annually. The members of the FFSP participate in international calls for proposals in the form of research groups and submit externally funded projects to suitable organisations.
