Aging, Demography & Care

Inter- and transdisciplinary approaches are needed in order to meet the societal challenges posed by demographic change, social inequality of health opportunities in old age, unjust access to care and assistance, and unresolved issues of intergenerational justice. The cluster "Aging, Demography & Care" deals with questions of the future, but also with questions of dealing with old age and with aging processes in the present. It is dedicated to the social and cultural construction of images of ageing as well as to questions about demographic change, health opportunities in old age and the "good life" until the end of life.
