Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity, and Gender

The cluster "Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity and Gender", as part of the research network Heterogeneity and Cohesion, constitutes a platform to enable and strengthen research through cooperation and joint events. The interdisciplinary cluster builds on research in the field of fundamental and human rights of the Faculty of Law and is coordinated by the European Training- and Research Centre for Human Rights and Democracy at the University of Graz and the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Human Security at the Faculty of Law. The most important component of the cluster is the interdisciplinary PhD seminar "Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity and Gender", which is open to PhD students from all faculties and whose "Faculty" consists of post-doctoral lecturers from all faculties. The annual International Interdisciplinary PhD Workshop in Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity and Gender takes place within this framework. The members of the FFSP participate in the form of research groups in international calls for proposals and submit third-party funded projects to suitable bodies.
